u3a is a national movement engaged in encouraging those who are no longer in full time employment to expand their knowledge and experiences.
Our branch is based in Tenterden and St Michael’s but draws its members from a far wider area that includes surrounding towns and villages such as Cranbrook, Headcorn, Rolvenden, Bethersden, Biddenden, Smallhythe and Woodchurch. We are a friendly and welcoming self-help organisation that provides educational, creative, social and leisure activities.
We achieve this by having a full and varied programme that includes monthly meetings, with guest speakers, outings and study mornings. We also have a wide range of interest groups, which can be viewed by clicking on the tab above. Each group has a co-ordinator and all members are encouraged to determine the group programme, interact in its activities, develop their own interests – and have fun.
